Tickets are just €15 from the science gallery website or from eventbrite (not from this website)

............

How much plastic is used to contain our everyday beauty products and cosmetics? Not to mention the chemicals, polymers and additives used to make moisturisers, lip balms, shower gels used on a daily basis.

There are many benefits to making your own; you know exactly what you’re putting on your skin, they're free from any harmful additives and you can source the ingredients locally — all whilst being kinder to the environment by cutting down on waste, what’s not to love?

In this practical and informative workshop, you will make a beautiful solid moisturising bar, bath fizzy and lip balm all made from natural ingredients. All of the ingredients and equipment will be provided but please bring a small container (a clean jar or an old cosmetics tin) to take your goodies home with you. These cosmetics would also make the ideal Christmas gift.

There is nothing Emma Hyland knows better than natural products; creator of the award-winning MuMe solid makeup brush cleanser she is passionate about all things natural, with two Image Beauty Awards and years of experience teaching product making workshops Emma is enthusiastic about spreading the word on natural skincare and how easy it is to make them; “it’s important to know what you’re feeding your skin and the market is so saturated at the moment it can be confusing”. mume.ie
